Q: compilation albums not all grouped together - why?

All of my compilation albums have Various Artists as the album artist. Some are grouped at the bottom of my library under Compilations, others are grouped in the V section of my main library. How can I get them all together?

Select all tracks from any one album, Get Info, check the box for Album is a compilation of songs by various artists.

It's this check mark that determines a compilation album, not a fake Various Artist.

Thanks for your response. I've done that. The album doesn't move to the compilation section of my library.

You might need to force iTunes to overwrite its metadata for the album.
Try the second method in this user tip:
Fix split Album or Artist listings in iTunes
