I have a 2009 White Macbook 5,2 2.13GHz Core 2 Duo. Recently the backlight suddenly went out with no warning. An external display works fine.
At startup the display will flicker briefly and then go dark. By unplugging the inverter cable and reattaching it, the same momentary flicker can be made to happen 100% of the time. Eventually the backlight will "catch" and stay on, functioning perfectly for varying amounts of time.At some point it goes off and the process has to be repeated.The inverter and cable have been replaced, Pram, SMC and disk permissions all zapped.
Anyone experienced this behavior? Is there a fix?... starting to make me a little twitchy..
