Q: My iPhone 4 Dosent Open Apps That Use Internet

Iphone 4, i have had it for almost 4 years now, i try to leave as much free memory as i can like about 1GB or more but i is a 8GB iphone, my iphone has IOS 1.7.2

When i try to open any app that uses internet it opens it for 3 seconds then crashes but its only with the apps that need internet and are downloaded like whatsapp, facebook, games that need internet and safari.

Ive tried deleting and re-instaling, hard reset, running out of battery but nothing works.

    Hello SMGR,

Thank you for being part of the Apple Community!

If I understand correctly, you are unable to use any app on your iPhone 4 that uses the internet.  Being able to use the thousands of available apps is one of the great things about an iPhone.

The first thing we want to do is to make sure you have a current backup of everything on your iPhone. Nothing I am going to suggest should cause any data loss, but it is always a good idea to have a backup.  If you follow this link, you will find instructions on how to do a backup:
How to backup your devices using iCloud or Tunes

Once the iPhone is backed up the next thing to do would be to go thru the steps listed here:

If an app you installed unexpectedly quits, stops responding, or won’t open

If you are still experiencing issues, then I would recommend that your reset all settings on the iPhone.  Reset All Settings resets preference files that may be having issues. This step will not delete your contacts or photos or any personal information. It does remove all of your preferences for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Do No Disturb, Notifications, General, Sounds, Brightness & Wallpaper and Privacy.  You do this by tapping Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings.

Once you have done this, test the iPhone and see if those apps work correctly.

    Have a great day!

If an app you installed unexpectedly quits, stops responding, or won’t open

Follow these steps if you have an unresponsive app on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.

    Restart the app

Close the app and open it again.

    Restart your device

Turn your device off and back on.

Check for iOS and app updates

    1. Make sure that you're using latest version of iOS.
    2. Open the App Store and tap Updates.
    3. If updates are available, tap Update All.
    4. If asked, enter your Apple ID password.

You might need a Wi-Fi connection to update some apps.

Install another app from the App Store

Try installing a different app that you don't have on your device. Find a free app from the App Store, and remember to use the same Apple ID that you used to download the app that you're having issues with.

    Delete and reinstall the app

    1. Tap and hold the app until it jiggles.
    2. Tap the on the app.
    3. Press the Home button.
    4. Go to the App Store and download the app again.
    5. Wait for the app to download, then open it from the Home screen.

    Contact the app developer

If you see this issue again, contact the app developer for help:

    1. Find the app in the App Store.
    2. Tap the app, then tap Reviews.
    3. Underneath App Store Customer Reviews, tap App Support.
