Jul 5, 2016 3:58 PM in response to Jim Gottliebby léonie,★HelpfulYou can type the latitude, followed by the longitude into the location field of the info panel for a photo in Photos. Only, Photos does not show the location as latitude and longitude.
You can see the latitude and longitude of a photo, if you export it from Photos and then select it in the Finder and enter ⌘I for "File > Get Info". The infopanel in the Finder will show latitude and longitude. Or use this script to copy latitude and longitude to the paste board: Script: Extract the Numerical GPS Values Using an Apple Script
Only, Photos requires the coordinates to be written with a decimal point, not a comma, so you may need to edit the returned values, if your system preferences are set to write decimal numbers with a comma.
And delete the altitude part of the returned values.

Jul 5, 2016 4:01 PM in response to léonieby Jim Gottlieb,Thanks for this workaround. Of course it will take 10 to 50 times as long as a simple "Paste Location", so I sure hope Apple adds this feature back into Photos.app.

Jul 5, 2016 4:08 PM in response to Jim Gottliebby LarryHN,★HelpfulAs we have learned "hope and change" are not very reliable - actually telling Apple what you need is a much better idea - many items requested have been included in upgrades - http://www.apple.com/feedback/photos.html
