Q: I cannot uncheck Holidays in United States and thus I can no longer see my events?

I have been having a problem of Synching my Macbook Pro Calendar and while search for a solution I opened Window on the toolbar.  I noticed "Holidays in United States" was not checked so I checked it.  Now my Calendar only displays holidays and no events.  I tried unchecking it but it will not let me.

When I Quit Calendar and reopen it opens with all my events and then quickly reverts to the Holidays in the United States calendar and I can see nothing else.

There is no list along the left side.   I am operating with the latest release of El Capitan.

    Topcop,

Where exactly did you check "Holidays in United States?" There is a user choice in Calendar>Preferences...>General> "Show Holidays calendar" selection.

In order to view the list, select Calendar>View>"Show Calendar List."

It may also be helpful to select/de-select "Show All Day Events."

Although it would not let me Uncheck it I somehow got my regular Calendar back.  So I am okay now.

thank you for trying to help.

You are welcome...I do wonder where that "Holidays in United States" menu item is generated. I have never seen it in that in the Calendar>Window>location.
