Q: Can't find files on super duper clone, can I restore from Time Machine backup?
First, Apologies for cross posting.
Hopefully I can explain my predicament with enough clarity so that someone can help me out. I am feeling a bit panicky.
I had a Mac mini that I was selling so needed to wipe. I first backed it up using Time Machine onto an external hard drive. Then I used Super Duper to clone it to a second hard drive. I did not need a bootable copy of the drive, but did need access to the data, applications, etc on it from time to time. My intension was to access the data I cloned and stored on the external hard drive from my current Macbook Pro. Well, that day has come and I went to access my cloned copy of the mini and only see a list of users. I am not able to find folders, documents, etc.even if I use spotlight to search. So my questions are:
- Can I view the contents of the duplicated machine differently to see more than just a list of users? (i.e. WHERE IS MY STUFF?!?!)
- Did I error somehow in my approach?
- If I did error with the super duper close, can I restore my time machine back up from one external drive to another external drive? I DO NOT want to restore to my MacBook hard drive.
Thank you!!
