Q: I can't activate my iMessage

I've been activating my iMessage and it kept on having error then I realized that the cell number registered on my yahoo mail is the old one so I replaced it with my new number. The new cell number doesn't seem to update on Settings > Messages > Send & Recieve and that's what I thinks that is causing the problem. The number is still old although ive already updated it on my yahoo Mail.

ive already tried signing out and restarting the phone and sign in again but it still wont work. I have stable wifi, updated ios and correct timezone.

iPhone 5s, iOS 9.3.2, null

    Howdy Claudine!

I know where you're coming from with wanting to be able to activate iMessage with the new phone number since I use iMessage all of the time.  Thank you for doing those troubleshooting steps already since it takes care of pretty much everything listed in this article: If you get an error when trying to activate iMessage or FaceTime.  Let's get started so we can get this taken care of for you.

Since you mentioned that it was showing the old number when you went to Send & Receive, that's the first place we need to look.  Do you still have access to the old iPhone or phone number?  If you do then we need to follow the steps in this article to deregister iMessage:

    Deregister iMessage

However, if you don't have access to the old iPhone or phone number to be able to deregister it, then it would be best to contact Apple Support to have them look into it.  Here's the link for contacting them:

    Have a great day!
