Q: Sending videos with "Messages"
I've been using an iPhone 5c for a couple of years now and love it! However, when I receive a video from my daughter-in-law (who is also using an iPhone 5c) in a text message, if it is over 25 seconds it gets shrunk down and degraded. Why? I've noticed on videos that are short, like 10-15 second, the format is .mov and the video is nice and clear and normal size, but when it is over 30 seconds it becomes degraded, is smaller and the format is .3gp. What gives???

As stated here (in the iPhone User Guide): "iPhone may compress photo and video attachments when necessary."

iMessage is not really designed to send/receive long videos. As you probably know, video messages are deleted by default two minutes after you receive them.
