Q: Table Borders NOT Black When Under 1pt

OK, this is driving me crazy. When I make a table in Numbers or Pages and give it (Table, Cells, etc.) a black border under 1 point in thickness, Pages or Numbers applies an RGB gray instead. This gray is visible on screen, when printed, and when exported as a PDF.

Creating a vertical or horizontal line or a rectangle with no fill and applying the same black, 0.25 point border or thickness, produces a true black line on screen, when printed, or exported as a PDF. A screen shot of this weirdness follows (it seems to have been reduced when placed):

Anyone know whats going on? Is this a bug? Is there a work around? This looks terrible when printed.

P.S. I apologize if this has been answered already, but I find this "new" discussion board almost unusable; certainly, unsearchable.

I have tested this with a basic empty table in Pages 5.6.2 and Pages '09 v4.3 on OSX 10.11.05.

I set a 100% K Generic cmyk swatch in the color picker, also a 10% C Generic cmyk swatch swatch as a check.

I created a simple table with alternating colored cells and made it .25pt 100K outline, 10% C cells.

I also made 2 shapes, one 100K and the other 10C, setting both to Generic cmyk in the color swatches.

Pages 5.6.2 exporting to PDF or Printing to PDF the generic cmyk is ignored and it is output as sRGB, tested in Adobe Illustrator. The problem is not just the lines it is every object.

    Pages '09 v 4.3 Exports/Prints accurately to CMYK.

Interestingly the Color Picker for Pages '09 is not the same one as the Pages 5 color picker as it did not have the same swatches.

Conclusion: JABIP5 (Just Another Bug In Pages 5).

And yes I agree about this forum. I gave Apple feedback on this but suspect they just aren't interested, certainly everything else I have given them feedback on with the exception of using option tabs in point numbering and Object Styles in Pages has been ignored.

If you want accurate output I suggest you stick with Pages '09 v4.3. I am, until something better comes along.

I'm experiencing the same issue. It's incredibly annoying an inconsistent.
