Q: I have just erased my hard drive, Help!

Hi I have just obtained a mac desktop from a friend, as all her personal stuff was still on the pc I decided to erase and reinstall the OS X Yosemite

But now even after trying many times to trinstall i keep getting the same message apple ID is not available at this time try again later, any ideas please ?

Hi!
Your friend needs to follow the steps in Apple's document at this link:What to do before selling or giving away your Mac - Apple Support
You need to go to this link:https://www.icloud.com/ and create your own Apple Account ID. It's free and easy to set up. You will need to provide Credit/Debit Card information and is required, but, money is not taken from your account until you purchase an App, for instance, and authorize the transaction.
