Q: My device is saying I need to contact apple within 15 days of an upgrade for a refund.  Extremely vague.  Contact Apple how/where?

Its an iPad, version 8.0.2 (12A405).  I'm actually having all kinds of issues.  I can't get it to stop asking me if I want to automatically download from other devices.  I can't get it to stop alerting me that I haven't backed up in X weeks, but when I try to back it up, it stops itself (due to the alert.) I thought upgrading storage would help, but it still won't back up properly.  I don't use my iPad for work, photos, music, etc., so I really don't care about having it backed up; I just want it to stop popping up messages.  And I want a refund for the 50G of back up I don't need/cant use.

    Let's start at the beginning.

Can you provide more information about the first issue you described? What is it asking about when it asks if you want to download from other devices?

What is the specific message? When you go to Settings>iTunes & App Store, do you have Automatic Downloads turned on?

When it indicates that you have not backed up your device in "x" weeks, have you gone to Settings>iCloud>Backup to see if you have a backup that has not completed? If you see the option to "Stop Backup" click on that to stop the process completely. Then click on Back up Now.

And just because it is not a work device does not mean that you don't want to back it up. If you lose it, then you will lose photos, messages, data, etc. With a current backup, you will be able to restore your current iPad, or a new one, if needed, to the condition it was when your original iPad crashed, was lost or stolen, got run over by a car, got dumped in the ocean, etc.

    Cheers,
