Jul 6, 2016 9:32 PM in response to apachegirlby ChrisJ4203,Okay, if you just restored the phone and it is in the activation screen, then you have encountered Activation Lock. Did you purchase this device used, from someone or a non-Apple shop? If it is rejecting your Apple ID and password, it is asking for another one, correct? That would be the previous owner that has not removed the device from their iCloud account. You will need to contact them to get them to remove the device from their account or you will not be able to activate the phone. It will be useless to you.

Jul 6, 2016 9:40 PM in response to ChrisJ4203by apachegirl,I got the phone through AT&T it was shut off and i factory reset the phone. It tells me This Iphone is linked to an Apple ID. Enter the Apple ID and Password that were used to set up this iphone. I have had the phone for 3 years and factory reset it 2 years ago. I did a password reset awhile back. i am able to login in online and on icloud using my apple id and password but not the phone. all it shows me is (a.....@icloud.com)

If you cannot remember the Apple ID and password that you used to activate the phone, and you purchased it new from AT&T, you will need to bring the phone and a copy of the receipt to a physical Apple Store for assistance in unlocking the device.
