Q: Automatically copying and updating a folder?

Is there a way to have a folder automatically update a copied image of itself once I change the original folder?  The reason I'm asking this is to use this to automatically update my music library folder in iCloud once I locally update it in my iTunes folder on my Mac.  Once I add a song to iTunes, I would like for it to automatically send a copy of it to my library in iCloud.

That is really what Match and to some extent Apple Music are designed to do.  I can't tell you if/how this is possible with iDrive because I do not have that feature under Mavericks.  Although I hang out a lot on the iTunes forum I have not seen others mention doing this so I am thinking it isn't really practical.

        No. iTunes Match will automatically rescan for content, so you don’t have to. But you can force a refresh by choosing Store > Update iTunes Match in iTunes.

    So there is no free way to do this?  I'm already paying for iCloud storage, and see no reason to dish out $25 to save me the trouble of dragging and dropping.

    If you are using an iCloud library which is part of a Match or Apple Music subscription you are already paying for it.  Unless you mean iCloud Drive which isn't really set up for that kind of thing and stores all files locally and in iCloud drive unless you use a web-only interface.  (Note: Please state which iCloud service fully as Apple made a big mistake calling them all "iCloud" because it gets very confusing when trying to sort out an issue).

    Yes, I am using iCloud Drive.  I'm in the process of ditching OneDrive in favor of Apple's cloud storage.  I there some sort of script I can create on my Mac?  I guess I could just redirect the iTunes media folder to iCloud drive, but is there a way to add two directories?

    What is your overall objective in doing this? It is possible iCloud Drive is not what you should be using.

    I would just like to have my music library available to me wherever I go.  I would like to be able to have access to it and download songs from it no mater what device I am on (Mac, Windows, Android...)
