Q: i can't access my yahoo mail on my iPhone.  I get the error message...."The connection to the server "apple.imap.mail.yahoo.com" on port 993 timed out"......is the server having issues?  anyone else have this problem?

I had this problem.  It was solved by setting up two stage verification on yahoo under account settings, security.  Then I selected to allow allow apps that use less secure sign-in. You can select to obtain a passcode for Iphone mail.  I then followed the apple iphone set up again.  This time it required me to put in the code that yahoo generated.  I put that in and it worked.  I then deselected two stage verification on yahoo and it now just works fine.

I've spent hours and hours trying to fix this glitch in the matrix of a problem, read countless forums and threads and did everything suggested to no avail. Finally late last night I came across your post and turns out it was the key to Triton's undoing. I have yahoo mail once again! U my friend are the light at the end of the tunnel.
