Q: Can I Recover Immediately Deleted Photos on my iPhone?

I've been confused about iCloud since the day it came out, but today, I realized that my iCloud Storage was full. I decided to delete a lot of my old photos on my iPhone thinking that my photos were already backed up on Mac's Photos application. Keep in mind, I had my iCloud Photo Library turned on and I set the option to Download and Keep Originals, but apparently iCloud doesn't work the way I thought it would. When I deleted all of my old photos on my iPhone it said "Delete Immediately". Then, all the downloaded originals of my iPhone photos were deleted off the Mac as well. Is there any way to restore my old photos? I heard that iCloud Backup does not include photos and iTunes Backup is also very confusing. Do I have to resort to a third party application?

iPhone 6s, iOS 9.3.2

There is of course the recently deleted folder on the photo app on your phone. If you have deleted the photos off there amd your iCloud account, then there is no way to recover them except to hope the situation occurs again and you can retake the pictures lol. But if theu are gone, they are gone. Sorry

You should see an Album in the Photos app on your phone called "Recently Deleted". You can recover them from there.

If you have iCloud Photo Library turned on, you are basically using the iCloud Photo sharing service. All of the photos live on iCloud, but they are shared with all devices that are signed into the iCloud Photo Library, and any action taken on those photos is propagated to iCloud.

You can set your phone to "Optimize Photos" which will dynamically reduce the number of full size originals to thumbnails  on your phone based on how much room you have.
