Q: No display on Samsung external display
Hi,
I have purchased my macbook pro 13inch 2015 model 5 months back and since then i have been using my samsung 4K external monitor with it . This monitor only support 60 Hz out with Displayport and my samsung monitor has one Displayport in . I had purchased this cable and been using this https://www.amazon.com/Cable-Matters-DisplayPort-Thunderbolt-Compatible/dp/B00C7 RJQPY/ref=sr_1_2?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&q… . Suddenly for last 10-12 days i am not getting any output to my display if i turn my mac on with the mentioned cable connected . I hear the start up sound and nothing appears in both my mac and samsung display . It works if i turn on my mac first and than connect the cable. Also i do not get any issue with HDMI out. As HDMI has only 30 Hz out support i am not really interested. I tried to replicate the same with another macbook with same model and everything works just fine with that . I contacted apple for this issue , all these time they were telling me to get the issue verified from a local store and when i told them that its working fine with another mac , they started blaming the cable setup . That the setup i am using is not recommended. They are asking me to use apple authorized adopters and they failed to recommend me one. At the end they also told me that my display is not also recommend by apple. I dont know why on earth they told me to visit a store and then telling me that noting is supported. I told them it used to work and sometimes it works too and its working perfectly with another mac but still they are telling me the same thing. This is really a terrible customer support.

Is there anyone can help me with an advise ?
