Thanks for asking your question here in the Apple Support Communities. I understand how difficult it must be to focus on your iPhone screen with it juddering or having waves. I am happy to offer some things to check.
The first thing we want to ensure is that all your data is safe. You can make a backup in iCloud or iTunes. Use this article for help with that: How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.
Then, for you to be able to determine which troubleshooting article you need to follow, you will need to know if the issue is with the entire display, or if it only happens when you take a recording. Also, you will want to check if it happens with the front camera only, the rear camera only, or both. Once you make a recording, email it to yourself, and view it on another device to see if the waves are in the recording.
If it turns out to only be related to the camera, you can check this help article from Apple: Get help with the camera on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.
If it turns out to be the screen, you can use this help article: Get help with hardware features on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.
If you go through one or both of these help articles and still need more help, I recommend you erase your personal data and set the phone up as new using iTunes. (Make sure you get the backup before this step!) This link will help you: Use iTunes on your Mac or PC to restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to factory settings.
Once the phone is set up as new, you will test to see if the juddering or wave issues are happening without your personal data on the device. If not, we know the issue was with some data on the device or in the iOS version, which will be in you backups. You can manually bring data back using iCloud or iTunes, but do not restore from the backup as you will bring the problem right back in. This article will help you restore your data: Sync your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with iTunes on your computer using USB.
If the juddering or wave issues do still occur with no personal data, then you will need the phone hardware checked. You will need to contact Apple using this link: Contact Apple Support to get help for hardware issues.
Thanks and have a great rest of your day.
