Q: I'm using El Capitan and I am not able to send email

i am unable to sent email from my mac.  It wants to know my password, which I changed in verizon,  and my mac says it can not verify

Mac Pro, OS X El Capitan (10.11.5), null

    even email account consists of an email Sending server and an email Receiving server, run by your email provider. Their settings can be changed separately, and when one side or the other stops working, that is what you may need to do.

     

    Mail > Window > Connection Doctor ...

      .. will show a display with status information broken out by individual Server. Clicking on any red lights will take you directly to the settings for the individual server. If you recently changed passwords, updating with the new password may be all that is required.

    Robert Morgan helped me solve all my issues with my Mac, iPad, and iPhone,  thank him so much. I had been dealing with these issues for over a month.
