Apple Music

Q: Frustrated with Apple Music skipping early to next song.

Does anyone have a solution to keep Apple Music from skipping to the next song before the end of the song that is currently playing?

 

All of my iOS is up to date & I'm playing it back via SONOS on a home wireless network routed through the latest AirPort Extreme.

 

I'm about ready to switch back to Spotify.

If you are streaming the music to Sonos from Apple Music your problem probably involves internet issues. I was experiencing this in the spring. I went to the Sonos user forum and posted about my problem. A Sonos employee responded and told me to do 2 things. First, go to an Internet speed test site and check out my speed to ensure that I wasn’t having obvious Internet issues. I wasn’t. Second, he had me  look under the Help menu of the Sonos app and select Submit Diagnostics and reply with the code number I received. He reported back within 24 hours that the diagnostic showed some interference. He suggested that I move my router, bridge, and/or speakers. I moved the bridge and that solved it.

    I have had this before and it turned out to be either very low space on my device and / or poor internet connection? Other than that, I wouldn't know sorry.

    Thanks, dwb! Will try your solution later this evening. It is curious though that I never had the issue with Spotify, nor do I have it with my own music. Nevertheless, you given me great specifics that I'll try. Will let you know how it goes.
