Q: If my computer dies, is there any way I can transfer Final Cut Pro X to a new computer without having to pay for it again?
So I bought final cut pro x, and I love it. Unfortunately, my Mac Book Pro I bought back in 2011 is getting pretty old, and it clearly wasn't made for some of the more advanced functions of FCPX. Long story short, I don't know how much longer it has until it dies. When it does, I don't want to have to pay another $300 for FCPX. Is it possible to transfer my Final Cut Pro X to another computer? If it is possible, how can I do so? I refuse to believe that Apple would be slimy enough to make it so I would have to buy it again. Thank you.
Final Cut Pro X, OS X El Capitan (10.11.5)

Log into the Mac App Store with the Apple ID you used to buy it, click on the Purchases tab, and redownload it from there.
If you got it with the computer and associated it with an Apple ID, proceed as described above with it.
If you got it with the computer but didn’t associate it with one, log into the Mac App Store, click on the Purchases tab, and do so.
