Jul 10, 2016 5:19 AM in response to jakeyboy29by léonie,I have the full library downloaded for Logic Pro.
Did you also try to install all updated sounds?
Logic > Sound Library > Download Updated Sounds (If that item is available)?
Which version of Logic Pro X do you have? The most recent version is 10.2.4.

Jul 10, 2016 8:04 AM in response to jakeyboy29by jakeyboy29,I am using version 10.2.0. I cannot seem to find that option, i can see 'download additional content' but like i mentioned i have installed all additional content. Any ideas? It is driving me insane. All i want to do it start projects on GB iOS and then continue them on Logic Pro. What confuses me the most is that it finds some of the loops/instruments but not others. I was always under the impression that Logic had all GB loops plus more

I wrote "If that option is available", because I have seen it only for a very short time. Once I had used it once, it vanished. This option appeared after I updated Logic to version 10.2.4.
Have you tried to update?

Jul 10, 2016 8:38 AM in response to léonieby jakeyboy29,No i cannot see that option anywhere. So are you suggesting that if i update logic i will recieve this option and then Logic will have all GB ios's loops?

Jul 12, 2016 5:28 AM in response to léonieby jakeyboy29,Leonie i have seen on another post that to get the GB ios loops you say "download GB ios to itunes...". Can you tell me what you mean by that?
I have updated LPx but still no luck. I mean i suppose i could buy GB for mac (as its no longer free) but it's more the principle that i have already purcheased GB ios and LPx.

Jul 12, 2016 5:37 AM in response to jakeyboy29by léonie,You are probably referring to the procedure described in this user tip: https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-9681
It describes a clever method, proposed by user mprenfro in this discussion:
Re: How to get new iOS GB loops into your Mac
The idea is to download the installer for GarageBand iOS to the Mac, then look inside the installer package and extract all the loops. Then install these loops in the Mac's Loop library.
This will probably not help in your case, since not the loops are missing, but parts of the instrument library with the samples.
I tried the same brute force approach for the samples, but no luck.

Jul 12, 2016 5:43 AM in response to léonieby jakeyboy29,Hmm if it could fix the loops then i'd be happy. So sorry for my ignorance but how do i download the installer for GB ios?
think this could be the ticket for me. Hopefully :-)

Jul 12, 2016 7:57 AM in response to jakeyboy29by léonie, but how do i download the installer for GB ios?
Launch iTunes, and open the iTunes Store. Select the "AppStore" tab and search for GarageBand. In the "Account" menu sign in with the AppleID you are using on your iPhone or iPad. Download the app. to iTunes by clicking the button below the app icon.
You will find the application bundle in your iTunes Library.
My iTunes Library is in the Music folder, so the purchased iOS applications are in the folder:
/Music/iTunes/iTunes Music/Mobile Applications/GarageBand 2.1.1.ipa
See:
Once you found the downoaded GarageBand.2.1.1.ipa bundle, try to extract the loops as described in Re: How to get new iOS GB loops into your Mac
Post back, if you have problems with one of the next steps.

You can. I am doing it all the time to install the apps and the updates. When I sync my iPhone and iPad with iTunes on my mac it installs the apps I downloaded.
Sorry, I see my first screenshot showing you the iTunes Store on my Mac did not post.
