Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities. From your post, I understand that you are unable to select your iPhone in iTunes. I know it's important to be able to sync your iPhone, so I'm happy to provide some direction to help with this.
To start, make sure that you've told your iPhone to "Trust This Computer". You can see more about this feature here:
