Photos for MacOkay, if the computer will not start at all please read what Apple tells you to do, you will find instrucitons in the link below. If you get to the last step and it still won't start, follow Apple's suggestion of taking the computer into an Apple Store or AASP to be serviced.
If your Mac won't turn on - Apple Support
Depending on the age of the computer an Apple Store will not work on it due to parts availability. I believe the oldest iMac they will work on currently is a 2010 or 2011 machine, your local Apple Store will confirm this information.

Jul 12, 2016 3:35 PM in response to Distorchestraby Linc Davis,Outdated software for a Wacom tablet can prevent shutdown. If you no longer use the device, please remove the software. Otherwise, update it to the latest version from the manufacturer's website.
After following the removal instructions linked above, you may also need to open the Users & Groups pane in System Preferences, select the Login Items tab, and delete any Wacom-related items. That's because the uninstaller is defective.
Back up all data before making any changes.
