Jul 12, 2016 5:59 PM in response to MacSince85by ChrisJ4203,If you have your Apple Watch set for Wrist Detection, then you will only get notifications on the watch, and not the phone. Is this what you are referring to? If you open the phone after you have seen the message on the watch, you should see it on the phone, but would not see a notification there, since you had read it on the watch. Your messages are actually coming through the phone to the watch.

Check out this support article > About notifications on your Apple Watch
If your iPhone is unlocked, you'll get notifications on your iPhone, instead of your Apple Watch.

Jul 13, 2016 12:58 AM in response to MacSince85by Jonathan UK,Note that some other users have also reported the same issue - with some text messages (not just notifications) being delivered only to their watch and not also to their iPhone - including under the latest software.
If the issue persists, I suggest that you contact Apple Support or make a Genius Bar reservation for assistance and to let Apple know that you are also experiencing this:
