Q: MainStage new patch problem

Hi, for a couple of weeks now, when I try to load up a new sound in a new patch I just created in a new channel strip, the sound will not play. MIDI signal is good, but the yellow line in the Workspace, which usually show the range of each channel strip for the patch, does not appear and there is no sound.

Anyone can help please? Thanks a lot!

Below the workspace you find the Instrument channel strip selector. This has a few tabs: Chanel strip Library, Attributes, Layer Editor, MIDI input.

Select the MIDI input tab and select the input, which is "Keyboard 1" in most cases.

Now select the Layer Editor. Here you can set the highest and the lowest key, which defines the extent of the yellow strip across the keyboard in the workspace. Set the highest note the G8 and the lowest to C-2 to make sure, the MIDI comes to the channel strip.

    Hope this helps,

Another one: If you add a channel strip, you see a dialog asking for the channel strip type. Make sure you set it to Instrument, not Audio or External or Auxiliary.

Thanks so much! It was the keyboard 1 that wasn't set!
