Q: IOS 10 BETA REMOVAL

Good morning. I have been using IOS 10 Beta for a few days, but want to return to the stable IOS9. When I perform a factory reset from my phone, it still has IOS 10 on it. When I perform a factory reset on iTunes, it gives me an error when trying to download the newest IOS 9.

I am using the iPhone 6+.

Any ideas?

We cannot (as in we're not allowed to do so, not that we actually can't do it) help with that here. Please refer to the link above your post for Beta info.

Follow the instructions in the Announcement on top, specifically the FAQs linked there:

If you're using iOS beta and want to go back to the current version of iOS, follow these steps:

Make sure that you're using the latest version of iTunes.

Put your device in recovery mode and restore it. If you turned on Find My iPhone, enter your Apple ID and password after the restore to activate your device.

After the restore is complete, you can set up your device from your archived backup. This backup should be from an earlier version of iOS.

About iOS beta software - Apple Support

    Recovery Mode:

Connect your device to your computer and open iTunes.

While your device is connected, force restart it: Press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home button for at least 10 seconds, and don't release when you see the Apple logo.

Keep holding until you see the recovery mode screen and wait for it to restore.

You may have to do the above more than once as recovery mode is difficult to get into.

Restore as New first and test it. Then restore from backup if desired. If the backup is corrupted it will likely bring back the issue.

Actually we have been advised in the lounge by the forum mgr. that we are allowed to help a user return to 9.3.2. We are not allowed to help with iOS 10 issues but helping to return to the current iOS is indeed ok.

    This did not work.

I received an error message saying the software could not be complete.

For the first step, you need to unenroll Apple Beta Software Program

    You can check here https://beta.apple.com/sp/betaprogram/unenroll
