Q: How can i combines photos of my girlfriends iPhone into my iCloud Photolibrary and vice versa?
Hi Apple-lovers,
I have the following situation. Me and my girlfriend both have a iPhone using different iCloud accounts and both with iCloud photolibrary enabled. We went on a nice holiday together and we both took photos with our iPhones. Now i want the following:
- I want to have her photos into my PhotoLibrary
- I want to have my photos into her PhoyoLibrary
- I do not want to see duplicate photos
- I want all photos in full (original) resolution with all metadata present (i.e. Location, Date, Time, Edit-information, etc.)
Want is the best way to do this? Has anybody a clever solution without losing Resolution or Metadata?
Thanks,
Rob, the Netherlands

I found a solution myself. This how you can import photos from someone elses iPhone into your Photos Library without losing any information like resolution, live-photo, edit-information or geolocation.
I used my MacBook.
- Open Photos app on Macbook
- Connect iPhone of someone else
- Authorize the computer on the iPhone when asked
- Click 'Import'-tab in the Photos-app on the MacBook and import selected photos
In my case, i did the same with my girlfriends iPhone. She logged in into the MacBook using her credentials and executed the same steps as described above with my iPhone connected.
End result is that both of us now have all photos from both iPhones in our own libraries in full quality and resolution.
