Q: Recovering old itune c:\folders to D:\folders
I have a two fold problem: (1) the iTune software on my crashed PC was very old and (2) my new PC has a small SSD c:\ drive forcing me to place my data files on my d:\ drive. I have loaded iTunes v12.4.1, copied one song from my old folder at d:\iTunes\Music\Music\Schwarzkopf folder\a tune to c:\User\me\Music\iTunes\iTunes library - it worked.
My question, has the iTunes folder structure change between versions, what folder name(s) I need on my d:\ drive, where should the actual music be located in the restructured d:\ drive, how to point iTunes to fin the tunes on the D:\ drive and how to point to the new location.
Windows 10, Win 10 Pro
