Jul 14, 2016 11:39 PM in response to ChampittetVPPby newtron45,Hi - we have both Gen 2 & Gen 3 Apple TV units. Classroom works with both of them. The one issue that we're having is that we don't provide pins or passwords to student iPads to prevent them from hijacking the apple TV with airplay. We normally use passwords and authorizations via the MDM to provide access. But if you use the teacher "classroom" app to tell a student's iPad to use airplay to display their screen, it requires the Atv password to be entered on the student's iPad. The iPad remains authorized after the teacher turns off the airplay on the student iPad; and the student can reinstate their connection at any time.
To me, it seems that the classroom app from the teacher's iPad should provide the airplay authorization for the student iPad. When the teacher disables the student iPad's airplay, the student's device should no longer have the ability to connect via airplay.
