    Hi Keith,

In Pages '09, this is an easy task:

    1. Select  all cells of the table in Numbers. Copy
    2. Click on the page in a Pages word processing document. Paste.
    3. Click on the resulting table to select it.
    4. Go Format > Table >Convert Table to Text

    Result:

With Pages 5, though, the two Convert menu items are missing. Here, I called on Text Edit to serve as an intermediary.

    1. Copy, as before.
    2. Open Text Edit, then go Edit > Paste and Match Style.

    3. Select the block of text, and again, Copy.
    4. Go to Pages, click on the page, then go Edit > Paste and match style…for this result:

    5. Select from somewhere in the top row to somewhere in the bottom row, then adjust the tab stops to fit the tabs in the pasted text.

    Regards,

    Barry

Going from Numbers '09 2.3 to Pages '09 v4.3, you can just select, copy, and paste the Numbers table content into Pages '09. You then visit the Table Inspector, and with your table selected in Pages '09, you set your cell borders to None in its selector. Click the following to enlarge.

From Numbers v3.6.2 to Pages v5.6.2 on OS X 10.11.5

Again, select, copy, and paste the Numbers data and just paste into Pages. With the table selected in Pages, click the Table tab on the right panel. Set the Table outline to None. Deselect the left three Gridlines buttons. If you don't want a table name, you can select that in this panel too. Next, in the Cell tab, set Border Styles to None. If you don't want the fill, you can turn that off in the Cell tab's Fill section.

You can turn off grid and fill in Numbers v3.6.2 on the Table and Cell tabs, just as in Pages v5.6.2 — before you copy/paste it too.

And, as Yellowbox graciously posted, there is my user tip: Pages v5: Same document: table to text/text to table.
