Q: my Iphone 6 locks up all the time

My iPhone 6 is going crazy.  It locks up all the time - I have to power on and off to unlock.  And now, random characters & numbers are being inputted without touching the screen.  I've rebooted many times (hard and soft) -- no luck.  The phone is totally useless at this time.

    Hi there TL7110!

From reading your post it looks as if your iPhone issues are gradually getting worse instead of better. This generally is caused by a software issue. I'll be more than glad to help you get your iPhone 6 working as it should again.

    1. Back up your iOS device -- You'll be completely erasing your phone, so I want to be sure your personal data is secure before moving forward.

    2. Restore your iOS device to factory settings -- In order to completely erase your iPhone, you'll need to use iTunes that's been installed on a computer. Using your iPhone's settings will only remove your personal information.

    3. Test the issue -- The first time through, set up your iPhone as a new iPhone but log into iTunes & App Store and iCloud with the appropriate ID(s). Download a few of the apps you've had installed before and make sure your iPhone is working as it should.

    4. Restore your iOS device from a backup -- If everything is fine again, use that article to move your personal data back to your phone.
