I bought a HP DeskJet 2131 All-in-One Printer for my home use on 11.07.2016 for use with my MacBook Pro having OS X 10.11. The printer can be used with OS X 10.11 also as claimed by HP.
I followed all the steps mentioned in HP websites, but could not make the scanner work.
I downloaded and installed HP Easy Start for installing the printer in MacBook Pro. It identified 3 software to be installed. However, when I tried to install them (I tried at least 15 times), it gave a message "Can not be installed. Please try later." The softwares mentioned can not be downloaded from HP websites.
Through standard methods, I could not install the printer in my MacBook Pro. I had to download hpprinterdriver3.1.dmg and installed the same. This supposedly latest version does not show DeskJet 2130 series.
I downloaded and installed HP Easy Scan from Apple site. But it does not recognise the scanner.
I AM DIGUSTED BY HP support.
Can any one suggest how to make the scanner functional in my MacBook Pro having OS X 10.11 ?
I shall be grateful.
