Q: Transfer my rented films from apple tv to my iPad?

Hello! I have a little problem, does anyone know how I can transfer the films I have bought or rented in apple tv to my iPad? For instance I just rented a film using my apple tv and I'm going away and want to see it on my iPad, however the film only features as rented on my apple tv and not in my iPad iTunes! Any ideas? Many thanks

We just learned the hard way and have a movie rented thru iTunes on our AppleTV which won't play due to an issue with our internet connection.  Why does it still need to connect to the Internet if it's already downloaded?

I seriously doubt we will be renting/purchasing movies this way again.

Hi, unless your Apple is the original silver one, it is a streaming device. It does not download movies, it plays them from cloud servers. So it needs an internet connection to play your rental. You can download a movie to a computer using the iTunes program, then stream it to Apple TV using Home Sharing. That might be useful if your internet is not ideal.
