Q: Upgrade for FCP

I have FCP 10.0.3 and 10.1.4 installed on 2 different computers.

Can I upgrade to the latest version ?  Is there any cost to it.

I have purchased those versions from iTunes store.

I still have the original invoice information.

Yes. You simply need the Apple ID and the password that was used to purchase the software. There is no additional cost.

You also need to make sure that your OS X versions are compatible with the versions of FCP X you want.

IIRC, 10.1.* require at least Mavericks, 10.2.* at least Yosemite.

So at least for the machine running 10.0.3 (and probably the other one as well), you are for sure going to need to upgrade your OS. Make sure that you have a full backup.

    Launch the App Store application.

    Log in to your account.

    Go to the Updates section.

You should see an update to the latest version of FCPX (and other apps that have updates).
