Thanks for using Apple Support Communities for help with your issue. So Siri is not responding when you speak Spanish, even though you set it to that language/voice and have turned the volume all the way up? Not to worry! You can invoke Siri without holding the Home button by speaking to her but your device needs to be connected to the charger. You can also use the Home button to see if Siri responds to you. If this does not work, you can try a normal restart for your device by holding the power button and then "slide to power off". Restart once powered off. If this does not fix the issue, try following the steps in the link below.
If Siri isn't available, or doesn't understand or respond to questions
Before you try these steps, make sure that your device works with Siri. After each step, see if Siri is working.
- Make sure that your iOS device has an Internet connection through Wi-Fi or cellular data.
- On your iOS device, make sure that Siri is turned on under Settings > General > Siri.
- Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.
- On your iOS device, go to Settings > General > Siri and turn off Siri. Then turn it on again.
- If you're using an iOS device, try to use Siri with a headset. If Siri only works when you're using a headset, get help with the microphones on your device.
- Contact Apple Support.
Use Siri on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
This should get Siri working as expected. Have a great day!
