Q: Alternate Row Shading in Pages
Hi,
I have got a long list with 3 columns (imaginary columns as I only use tab key to separate them) in Pages and I would like to know if there is a way how to change color of every second row. That would make the list much easier to read. I don't really want to re-do whole list in Numbers.
Thanks in advance for your time.

The simplest approach with your tabbed data is to select the entire row that you want to have the alternating color, and apply a character fill color (real highlighting) to the entire row. Looks like this, and you have control over the color/shading:
Or this, where I inserted a new table with alternating row color style, and then pasted the tabular data into its first cell. I then had to remove irrelevant columns, scale the table, and on the Table tab, set Table outline to None, and uncheck the first two Gridlines items.
Last year, I wrote a guide on how to go from tabular data to table, and back again in Pages v5. It may prove useful for you.
