Jul 17, 2016 5:34 AM in response to Brownie36by fromsouth,Not enough details to be precise, but assuming that you would not be sending emails to yourself, you are talking about POP mail account setup on your iMac, that does not sync your mail. You may need to contact your email provider (non apple service) to find out how to setup the mail account on your mac (step by step instructions for Mac mail) in order to sync with other devices, unless instructions below help you.

Jul 17, 2016 6:18 AM in response to Brownie36by Brownie36,Here is the detail that I wasn't able to post originally.
Emails from specific machine and email address are not delivered to my iCloud email address.
I have used POP3 for email with a non Apple related email service and never have had a problem with my email being received. I work mainly from an iMAC with the latest OPX.
I am considering switching my email from POP3 to IMAP because I use several devices, iPad, iPhone wife’s Laptop to check my email. To understand the capabilities of IMAP I have tried to experiment using the IMAP iCloud mail account that automatically loaded when I got my iPhone.
When I sent myself email from my iMac using my usual email service, my iPhone rang but no message was received, on my phone or on the web iCloud account. The same thing happened when I sent mail from an alternate non Apple email account. Subsequent attempts failed even to cause the iPhone to ring. Mail sent from my iCloud account using my iMac was properly delivered as was mail sent from my wife’s email address using her laptop.
There are no rules set up for my icloud account and none of the missing mail shows up in any iCloud folder. Yesterday, mail sent from my usual email service using my wife’s laptop was also not received by the iCloud account, however today a similar mail was received. I was able to send mail using my iPad and my usual email service which was received.
Thinking the problem was solved, I tried sending mail again using my iMac from my usual service. It failed. When I tried sending from my iMac using the alternate email service, my iPhone rang and I briefly saw that the message was received, however it almost immediately disappeared.
While I can avoid the problem by avoiding any use of iCloud email, I am completely flummoxed by this problem. Anyone have an answer of what could be intercepting these email?

Jul 17, 2016 9:37 AM in response to Brownie36by Eric Root,There have been a lot of posts lately indicating the iCloud server is rejecting e-mails from many domains. I've not seen a solution to the problem.

Jul 17, 2016 2:35 PM in response to Eric Rootby fromsouth,Two reasons and two answers. One - icloud storage is running out, purchase additional storage or watch email limits.
Multiple people using icloud mail for business do not realize how low the limits are.
Mailbox size and message sending limits in iCloud - Apple Support
Two - emails are blacklisted by icloud server, reporting to apple will allow to whitelist those.
Usually the way to figure out which one is to see if some email from address are received - it is one. If none - blacklist - two.
Pop account points to small/old provider - more likely to be blacklisted, may seem considered distributing spam.

Jul 19, 2016 7:15 AM in response to Brownie36by JustJoan R.,Hi. I don't have an answer but I can report that over the past three days I have recieved less than three emails on opening my iCloud account each morning, when normally I have anywhere between eight and fifteen messages upon startup. I assumed there was a problem at Apple's end, but if a change from POP3 to IMAP could work, what are the steps involved for me?
