Jul 18, 2016 7:29 AM in response to KipperDby KipperD,Still have the cable that can with the keyboard. Just thought it would be another way to charge the board. Could I use the cable that came with the board and plug it into the AC adapted that came with the phone??

Jul 18, 2016 7:38 AM in response to KipperDby seventy one,Did you read the Apple document I linked to my answer. As I see it, the first paragraph covers the question but as I don't use an iPhone, I cannot be sure. It would likely charge at a slower rate.

The headlining change between the first Magic Mouse and Magic Mouse 2, of course, is the built-in rechargeable battery versus AA slots that needed replaced frequently. Magic Mouse 2 charges using the same Lightning cable as iPhones and iPads so Apple includes the cable in the box.
Hope that meets your needs.
