Q: Can the book formats from iPhoto be used in new Photo app

I would like to use the old Travel Book format from iPhoto app in the new Photo app?

iPad 2, iOS 8.1

    Hi cheriLaugh,

     

    I understand that you want to use the Travel Book format when creating a book in the new Photos app. I know that it's nice to customize these to your liking, so I'm happy to provide some direction to help.

     

    While the only book formats that are available are already in the Photos app, we offer lots of great ways to customize them to your liking. Check out more about our photo books here:

    There are 4 travel related book themes in Photos.

    The 3 titled Travel Shots seem to be the same.  The Travelogue looks like it might the closest to the iPhoto theme.

     

    You'll have to download them for test books and check to see how close any of them come to the iPhoto Travel Book theme.

    No - Photos is a totally new program and had no relation to iPhoto in any way

     

    Photos does have many more themes available  --  Photos: Available Photo Book Sizes & Themes  --  Photo Book Formats and Features   --  so hopefully one of them meets your needs

     

    If you have iPhoto 9.6.1 you can create the book in it but not have Apple print it - PrestoPhotos will print iPhoto books though
