Q: Apple iPhone 4S can not sync to iTunes 11.3

I have a MacBook 2,1, that I sync my iPad (3rd Gen) and an older 80 GB Color iPod to.  But when I attach an Apple iPhone 4S to the MacBook I receive a Notification that I need to update my iTunes.  The version of ITunes I do have is iTunes 11.3 and it is the latest version of iTunes availabe for my OS X 10,6

iPhone 4S, iOS 9.2.1

Unfortunately, in order to sync your iPhone that requires the latest version of iTunes v12.4.2 which requires a Mac running v10.8.5 or later.

See if your Mac can upgrade to El Capitan >  Upgrade to OS X El Capitan - Apple Support

 

With El Capitan installed, you would be able to run the latest version of iTunes.
