Currently Being ModeratedJul 26, 2006 7:54 AM (in response to Ben Nash)try export out of quicktime 10 bit uncompressed 422 size should be 720 x 486 NTSC. you basically need to transode the file for FCPG5 dual2gig, Mac OS X (10.4.4), xraid array,kona2, HD and SD decks
Currently Being ModeratedJul 26, 2006 9:11 AM (in response to tallguy)I think tallguy is right. The Avid codec, when installed, will allow playback of Avid files in Quicktime player but not in Final Cut Pro. At least that is what I concluded when I once tried the same thing. I really didn't make sense in that FCP is Quicktime based software... go figure. I was going back to a DV based project at the time so I transcoded to dvrez so I didn't have any quality issues.G5 dual 2.7, Mac OS X (10.4.6)
Currently Being ModeratedSep 4, 2006 10:57 AM (in response to loyed256)How do I get the Avid codecs? I am having the issue that I cannot view .mov files in Quicktime when they are created with they use the codec "Integer (Big Endian), Avid Meridien Uncompressed". I need to view these and also export them with Compressor as Mpg2.
Thanks for any help.
