My problem seems exactly the same: selected an app (3 different ones to date) and clicked the Install button, it goes through the process then stops at the beginning of the download progress cycle. On the Home window, the apps have generic "gray" icons suggesting they will be downloaded. But after 1 hour, nothing has changed and the apps are still not installed...this usually takes 15 seconds or less on most apps.
All apps are free, so there is no purchasing impediment. With over 40 apps installed previously, this has never been an issue before.
Again, will update tomorrow on whether the turingtest2 steps resolved my issue.
