Q: Is there a way to export the data from the activity app?
I work for a company that rewards activity. Currently the company only supports the use of FitBit trackers because there is a way to export the data off the tracker. I am wondering if someone can tell me if this is possible to do from the Apple Watch? I am considering buying one and want to know if I can ditch my FitBit.

The Activity app on iPhone has a Share button (at the upper-right of the screen) that can be used to share a day's results (accessed via the Activity tab) and Workouts (accessed via the Workouts tab), including to social media, Messages, Mail, Notes and a printer.
Health and fitness data from Apple Watch, iPhone and other sources is also saved and aggregated within the Health app on iPhone. This data can be exported, although not necessarily in a format that would meet your needs:
- On your iPhone, in the Health app, go to: Health Data > All - Share button at the top right.
There are also some third-party apps that you may find helpful for accessing and exporting data - for example:
- QS Access
- "Access your data from HealthKit in a table so you can explore it using Numbers, Excel, R, or any other CSV compatible tool."
- SpectaRun Workouts
- "Visualize running or walking workouts from your Apple Watch".
- "Export and upload workouts to your online running community".
Check the descriptions and support resources for third-party apps for details of any supported data import / export and analysis features.
