Jul 19, 2016 6:07 PM in response to Chris Davisby ed2345,It might be the recent bug where new songs show with a date added in the 1970s, which causes the Recently Added playlist not to include them. Is that happening in your case?

You are welcome. It's one of the weirder bugs we've seen.
If you want to correct the entry, drag the audio file out to your desktop, delete the iTunes library entry, and then drag the file back into iTunes. It will create a new library entry and pick up today's date for Date Added, which in turn should cause it to show up in the Recently Added playlist.
