Jul 20, 2016 7:30 AM in response to Auztinqby Allan Jones,Typically Macs of that era did not like to boot from a burned installer disk. It was like Apple had some copy protection scheme. Your best action is to find retail install disks--not easy or cheap, but the best way to success. That computer should run Tiger as a minimum. A retail install disk looks like this:
The background is black. The light gray disks that shipped with a different Mc usually will not work. Avoid them.
Apple has never released for free distribution ANY OS version newer that OS 7.5.5 and that went obsolete In January 1997. Therefore any Mac OS version newer than 7.5.5 offered as a download--paid or otherwise--is pirated. The best result people see with these pirated OS version is the computer will not boot and they can't get their money back from some foreign country. The really bad end of the spectrun is the downloaded verison has steaming piles of malware added.
So there is no digital OS option for that model.
