See the 'If you can't reset your security questions' section on this page : If you forgot the answers to your Apple ID security questions - Apple Support

The only choice you have is to create a new account. Apple support is very poor on this.

That is totally incorrect. The solution has been posted in this thread multiple times. You do not need to create a new account.

well. that is what the apple support "specialist" said over the phone. that she couldn't do anything since I don't remember my security questions. My account was hacked and someone changed the security questions. How the **** am I supposed to know the answers for those security questions. Luckily my credit card and address on the account expired since I moved to a new place, and I am glad that no one is going to use my personal information

Apple has to verify that you are who you say you are, so they ask various questions. If the information on your account was out of date and you were not able to provide enough information to verify your identity, then there would be nothing more they could do....

Then you will have to wait until they reply. There is nothing that can be done for you here. Especially since you don't specify what your issue is. If you want help here, then start a new thread.

What? Are we living in Stone Age?

They can very well delete my account, like I asked them to. It is linked to my Gmail id. They can send a secure pin to my email id and confirm that email id is mine. Never realized Apple Geniuses were so dumb

You seem to be misinformed. This is a user to user support forum. No one from Apple is here with the exception of an occasional response to an unanswered post by a Community Specialist. And you think that not getting the instant gratification that you appear to feel you are entitled to is equivalent to the Stone Age?

The response I provided to the poster above you was complaining that "they" (meaning Apple, I take it), were supposed to respond in 48 hours. To what issue, I have no clue since the poster didn't feel the need to share that particular piece of information.

So, not sure what you are even talking about here. Your issue is between you and Apple. And, no, they are not just going to send you a link or a secure PIN without verifying your identity over the phone. That's the way it is.

I don't know what the other user wants either. I was only responding to your reply to mine. If apple cannot do anything to my account, because they cannot verify my identity by not being able to answer a couple of security questions, like they said so over the phone, then they must surely be in Stone Age. If they can't figure out a proper way to recover stale accounts, then many people would be frustrated.

I don't care about your responses because you don't have a solution for the problem. You can be a community specialist or an Apple genius who wants to calm down the crowd. It is the least of my worries. Until I (or the person who originally created this thread) receive(s) a proper response, I am going to keep claiming that Apple's customer support is poor.

Which part of "this is a user to user support forum" do you not understand? This is not Apple customer support, and no one here works for Apple. If you cannot verify your identity then that is your problem. There is no solution. Apple is not going to bow to your demands when you have not verified you are who you say you are. Any common thief could try the same thing. How would you expect them to distinguish between the two?

Take some personal responsibility. YOU forgot your password. YOU forgot your security questions. YOU did not write them down anywhere so that didn't happen. YOU did not take advantage of Two-Step Verification or Two-Step Authentication which completely remove the need for Security Questions, YOU cannot verify your identity to Apple. This is no one else's fault....
