Q: Watch disconnecting and battery draining
Today while golfing my watch became disconnected from my phone. My phone was on my belt the entire round. This went on for a good part of the round. When I returned home my watch was down to less than 10% power. On a regular day I go all day and have 50% or more power. I recharged to 80% and it drained to 10% in less than7 hours. Any ideas what happened? How can I prevent it from happening again?

Hi
If you have not yet done so, it may help to update your iPhone and Apple Watch to the latest software, starting with your iPhone:
Update the iOS software on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
Update the software on your Apple Watch - Apple Support
It may also help to restart both your iPhone and your watch:
- Turn both devices off together, then restart your iPhone first;
- To turn your watch off: press and hold the side button until you see the Power Off slider; drag it to turn off;
- To turn it on: press and hold the side button until you see the Apple logo.
If the issue persists, it may help to unpair and re-pair your watch:
- The Watch app on your iPhone takes a backup of your watch automatically when unpairing via the app.
- Choose to Restore from Backup when offered the option during set up. Most data and settings will be restored, with some exceptions (eg Apple Pay cards, passcode).
