Q: stolen imak 5k delivery how to track

I recently purchased a 5k Imac 4.0 processor the updated grafix card everything maxed. My delivery was stolen. The Imac's serial is registered to my support profile.  but not my Icloud account because i never received it. the police seem to not really care i have supplied them with everything i can. I believe I know the icloud account the person whim stole the Imac is using on the mac. can anything be done considering i believe i might know the icloud e-mail that the computer is set up on?

any help or knowledge of a third party tracking service would be greatly useful. i paid over 3 grand for this computer

OS X El Capitan (10.11.1), Imac 5K

Go after the company that was supposed to deliver the iMac.

Find the serial number of your Apple hardware product

If the package was not insured, there is little you can do. In the future, I recommend requesting that a signature be required for delivery, so the package will not be dropped off if you are not at home and therefore left unattended when they deliver it.

That's the thing.. I have a signed fed ex delivery receipt with the name of the person who signed for it in front of my house the morning it was delivered. I have opened a claim with them and they continue to tell me that my claim is closed because fed ex delivered to the intended address. and they got a signature so that was all that was needed. I took all of this plus the supporting documents that i had to the police. and still little is being done. I know that my case is not a priority for the San Francisco police and I am pretty sure I have the icloud e-mail this person used because he was ballsey enough to request technical support and logged the serial in a support request asking the specs of my machine. That e-mail address he used to request a apple support question is now on my support profile pretty much mocks me every time I log in and view the computer.

OH believe me I did. And here is the long awaited update to answer this. I know who had it. He signed for the fed ex delivery with his name. I live unfortunately in the worst city for police help that I've ever lived in And I was born in Baltimore MD. I proved he had it. I have documented proof of his lies. Physical documented proof. I found the boxes it was delivered inside of in the trash. The trash being his trash in front of his house with actual documents with his name on them inside the shipping carton with stickers on the outside that read my name. Further he assaulted me while I was trying to get them he ran out grabbed me and hit my arms into a concrete wall leaving me badly bruised. The police which I've called 7 X before still did nothing gave me a citizens arrest that the district attorney refuses to prosecute because it's a civil matter being I know who stole my delivery who signed for it. Who lied on video which I have I've gone in a nightmarish circle between fed ex apple and citizens one bank who financed this computer. 4000 dollar paid charge off on my credit now. After all this all the investigating I had to do by myself , the hours / days I spent on the phone with police and the above 3 companies calling and screaming at I can confidently say half of the fed ex phone answering employees fed ex paid for the computer. But not before giving me a 3 month run around changing there minds lying to apple a couple times even to try and get out of it. They did not however pay the Intrest or the late fees i got from citizens one even tho citizens one loss management special services told me not to pay any more payments. i was charged anyway. My credit has dropped into the 400's because of this. I was physically hurt I've spent days of my time lost work was not able to go back to school have had 3 court dates and on August 1 2016 I will get my now year old and used iMac as a judge ordered this man to bring it to court I'm also seuing him for the maximum small claims possible which is 10,000 dollars on top of this. I didnot pay for a used computer it was supposed to be new accompanied by what this man has done to me. and this nightmare I've gone through. So I'll check back in on the eve of August 1  but I should have my iMac back if all goes according to plan. Which I'm sure it will not being the track record of this. I have to say it's been the worst examples of customer service I have ever seen in my life on all 3 company sides of this matter. And having to be in the middle and constantly go back and fourth when 1 makes a decision to tell the other has been horrific. I hope no one ever has to experiance this. Ever.

it sounds so simple doesn't it. ? They failed they should pay . Actually according to apples website on them delivering to wrong addresses they should of approved immieadiate reshipment . Nope they decided not to. It was **** getting fed ex to finally pay it was super hard because they pay the shipper not citizens 1 who financed the loan then apple paid citizens 1. And I had to get apples shipping account number which they refuse to tell anyone.  Getting that number took me weeks . And ended up me hand writing out the form fed ex sent for a claim and mailing it to apple which had a special department to write the number on the form and then trust they could competently mail that to fed ex claims department . All of this was horrible no one wanted to help me , no one cooperated. Everyone gets a F in customer service.
