Q: How do I AirDrop from iPad to Mac?

Although I did what you are saying, I can not send (AirDrop) a photo from my iPad to my Mac Pro.

Both are AirDrop capable. 

After restarting both: the same nothing!

(I am 9.3.3 on my iPad, 10.10.5 Yosemite on my early 2009 Mac Pro)

Here is what I am doing:

Both Mac  and iPad (2 feet away from Airport Extreme) are on.

I click on AirDrop on my Mac Pro window opens with just the AirDrop sign,nothing else.

after checking Everyone in the AirDrop slide-up, I open photos select one photo.

Although the AirDrop icon is there tapping it does nothing. In both activities there is only an airplay but no AirDrop available.

I am on 10.10.5 Yosemite I heard is AirDrop compatible.

iPad: 9.3.3

Can you show me how I update my profile according to what I have?

4 internal hard drives 1 external:

1= 10.6.8

2= 10.6.8

3= 10.10.5

4= 10.11.5

external: 10.9.5
