Q: iPhone downloads emails over and over again?

My boss's iPhone keeps on downloading all of his mail from oldest to new without retaining what has already been downloaded! This happens every time that he goes into his mail!

How can i stop it so that it only downloads the newest content and keeps the content that has already been downloaded, he has two accounts on his phone for mail and yet it is only the exchange account that does this.

I have checked all his sync settings and order settings yet nothing is working.

I now checked this prompt yet there is now info that can help!

I have also checked his settings on administration and our servers. This only happens with his iPhone because his mailbox is also set up on his standby phone and there it works perfectly, yet his primary phone (iPhone) is not doing so well. And as usual it has to be fixed and i don't have an answer??
